GOL Women's Basic Chainsaw
Women's Basic Chainsaw Safety: For women with little or no prior experience who would like an introduction to the tool. Course will cover: parts of a chainsaw, safety, bucking (cutting an already felled tree), and basic maintenance.

About the event
Participants must bring a safety helmet with face shield, eye and ear protection, chaps, as well as lunch, water, and snacks for the day. Bringing a chainsaw is recommended, but not required. See Woodland Training’s FAQ for additional information.
Cancellation up to 10 days prior to the program will incur a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations made less than 10 days prior to the program will not be refunded, unless we are able to fill your spot, in which case you will receive a full refund, less a $50 administrative fee. Refunds will not be issued due to inclement weather. If a program is postponed due to extreme weather (a very rare occurrence), participants are expected to attend the program on the rescheduled date. Should Merck Forest cancel the program due to unforeseen circumstances, and the program is not rescheduled, a full refund will be issued.
