Wilderness First Aid

Prepare yourself for the unexpected in your backcountry travels by enrolling in our Wilderness First Aid course.
This 2-day course, taught by Stonehearth Open Learning Opportunities (SOLO), covers emergency backcountry skills: Response and Assessment, Musculoskeletal Injuries, Environmental Emergencies, Survival Skills, Soft Tissue Injuries, and Medical Emergencies, with the option of CPR for an additional fee and hours.
Certification for WFA is valid for 2 years. Preregistration is required. Minimum age 16. Tuition is $200 pp; the CPR component is an additional $45. Register HERE.
Cancellation up to 10 days prior to the program will incur a $20 administrative fee. Cancellations made 10 or fewer days prior to the program will not be refunded, unless we are able to fill your spot, in which case you will receive a full refund, less the $20 administrative fee. Refunds will not be issued due to inclement weather. If a program is postponed due to extreme weather (a very rare occurrence), participants are expected to attend the program on the rescheduled date. Should Merck Forest cancel the program due to unforeseen circumstances, and the program is not rescheduled, a full refund will be issued.
