Forest Walk and Birdhouse Build

This workshop, a collaboration between Merck Forest, Audubon Vermont and Vermont Woodlands Association, will blend nature exploration with conservation action.

Begin with a guided walk through the forest, where you’ll learn about local bird species, their habitats, and the vital role they play in the ecosystem. Along the way, we’ll discuss bird ecology, migration patterns, and conservation efforts that support their populations. After the walk, roll up your sleeves and build your own birdhouse to take home, providing a safe nesting space for birds in your own backyard. This family-friendly event is perfect for nature lovers of all ages who want to connect with wildlife and make a positive impact!
