Group Volunteer Opportunities

Merck Forest and Farmland Center (MFCC) can accommodate groups of up to 12-15 people. We cannot accept larger groups at this time because of our commitment to ensure a quality volunteer experience.

If you are a group of this size, we recommend the following:

  • Take a look at our Day of Service volunteer program and our Day of Service FAQ. You may also contact the office and MFFC will happily set up a visit to your school or organization to share details about trail work and what to expect. Call the office at 802-394-7836 or email volunteer@merckforest.org for more information.
  • At least one month prior to your anticipated Day of Service, contact MFFC at 802-394-7836 or email volunteer@merckforest.org. We will get your group signed up and discuss project options depending on group size and your desired dates.
  • MFFC will send you a registration link which you can circulate among the individuals in your group. Signing up individually will speed up the start of the work party and allow for better communication between your group and your crew leader.
  • MFFC deeply appreciates groups arriving on time! To do so, factor in extra time before the start of the work party. This allows for a time buffer if several cars are used to car pool or if some people are running late.
  • Finally, make sure your group is ready for a fun day of teamwork. You'll be amazed at your group's accomplishments at the end of the day and the positive impact you've made.
