• Take Route 2 west to Interstate 91
• Go North on I 91 to Vermont
• Take Exit 2 in Brattleboro, VT and follow signs for Route 30.
• Follow Route 30 through Manchester Center (Approx. 40 miles)
• From Manchester continue to follow Route 30, through Dorset, for 8.2 miles to Route 315.
• Turn left on Route 315
• Follow Route 315 approx. 2.6 miles to top of hill.
• Driveway to Merck Forest & Farmland Center will be on the left.
• Proceed 1/2 mile up driveway to parking area and Visitor Center.

From CT/RI:

• Get yourself to Interstate 91 North
• Go North on I-91 to Vermont
• Take Exit 2 in Brattleboro, VT and follow signs for Route 30.
• Follow Route 30 into Manchester Center (Approx. 40 miles)
• From Manchester continue to follow Route 30, through Dorset, for 8.2 miles to Route 315.
• Turn left on Route 315
• Follow Route 315 approx. 2.6 miles to top of hill.
• Driveway to Merck Forest & Farmland Center will be on the left.
• Proceed 1/2 mile up driveway to parking area and Visitor Center.

From NY/NJ and points south:

• Follow Interstate 87 North to Albany, NY
• In Albany, take Exit 7 for NY 7 to Bennington, VT
• At the New York/Vermont border (26 miles) NY 7 changes to VT Route 9, continue to Bennington, VT (3.5 miles)
• In Bennington, turn left on Route 7 North to Manchester Center, VT
• Follow Route 7 for 21 miles north to Exit 4 for Route 11/30
• Follow Route 30 into Manchester to flashing light.
• Turn right and immediately left onto Route 30 north
• Continue to follow Route 30, through Dorset, for 8.2 miles to Route 315.
• Turn left on Route 315 approx. 2.6 miles to the top.
• Driveway to Merck Forest & Farmland Center will be on the left.
• Proceed 1/2 mile up driveway to parking area and Visitor Center.

From Salem, NY:

• Follow Route 153 from Salem to Rupert, VT
  
• Continue straight on Route 315 in Rupert, VT
  
• Main entrance on right at the top of the hill.
• Proceed 1/2 mile up our driveway to parking area and Visitor Center.

Directions to South Gate Entrance from MFFC Visitor Center:

• Turn left and head west on Route 315
• After 5 miles, turn left onto East Rd which soon becomes Kent Hollow Rd.
  
• Go 1 mile, stay left at Sandgate Rd fork
• After 1 mile, turn left onto Hidden Valley Rd just before a bridge. There is an old worn sign at the junction that says "Kent Hollow Rd →"
  
• Travel 1.2 miles to the gate and park on right
